Per verified surveys conducted in year 2012, (http://www.unicef.org/infobycountry/india_statistics.html) India is home to 31 million orphans, about 4% of child population in India and higher than people living in Delhi area. Of them, parents of only 0.3% children have died and rest have been abandoned.
PEDSO’s Godi or ‘Gods Lap’ Orphanage project is at a Blueprint stage. This is a reiteration of PEDSO’s mission for widening services to children. To Children either whose parents are deceased or those abandoned or many left to become ‘Ward of the State’ by couples of unwanted pregnancies. PEDSO has opened the project for external funding contributions from Individuals and Institutions alike. PEDSO plans to extend services in conformity with International standards, providing Rescue wherever needed, rehabilitation and reintegration with society. The Godi Orphanage will induct expert staff, press International standard services for children finding space under its care.
